#Build your COY!
If you wish to submit a project, share an experience, show an artistic project, facilitate a workshop, a debate, a conference, or any other format, use your creativity and participate!
Pre-proposal application form
From 26 to 28 November, only a few days before the COP21, 5000 young people from all around the world will gather for the 11th Conference of Youth. Not only this event will be one of the biggest gatherings of youth in France, but it will also lead to an unprecedented mobilization in the field of international climate negotiations. We have deeply affected our environment so we must come up with a new model of society!
Through the COY11 we want to show that youth is definitely
Mobilized, united, creative, skillful and responsible!
Through this event, the “WARN!” movement and the organizations “Fédération du Scoutisme Français”, “REFEDD”, “CliMates” and “Avenir Climatique” are determined to show that our generation is not giving up. It is possible to bring young people from different ethnic, cultural and geographic backgrounds together in order to provide practical solutions to daily struggles, by becoming actors of change.
We aim at creating bridges between young people through the COY in order to allow them to meet each other and share their point of view. The COY will also help raise awareness about climate change and create a dynamic focusing on changing our model of society.
Aware that the climate issues are inextricably related to other stakes, such as employment, democracy, health, education, etc., young people are full of ideas and likely to provide concrete solutions that will enable changes in society. We want the COY11 to be a special place for expressing these ideas and solutions, but we cannot do it without you! With a view to create an event that will fit all of our audiences, we are also looking for artistic (performing arts, fashion, etc.), sports and innovative (revegetation, etc.) projects which would be consistent with our program.
You can fill up the pre-proposal application form until the 31st July, 2015.
The pre-selected candidates will receive a full application file to complete within 15 days.
Beware: We reserve the right to close the call for projects earlier if we receive enough applications. Though, there will be some open spaces for anyone wishing to launch a debate, head up a working group, etc. at any time during the COY.
Terms and conditions of eligibility:
The call for projects is open to all, whether you are an organisation, a charity, a social enterprise, an educational institute, an individual, as long as you recognise yourself in the message conveyed by the 11th COY.
Priority is given to projects led by young people or driven by an inter-generational purpose.
Each project must possess human and material resources specific to its realization (except for basic furniture).
